As part of Cairo University Faculty of Nursing’s commitment to overseeing the medical examination process for new students, Professor Dr. Fatma Abed, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, visited the Student Hospital today to follow up on the medical examination procedures for students nominated to join the faculty.
During her tour, Dr. Fatma welcomed the new students, checked on their well-being, and inquired about any challenges they might face during the medical examination or admission process. She also engaged in an open dialogue with them, answering their questions regarding studying at the faculty.
Dr. Fatma Abed explained that the purpose of the medical examination is to ensure the health condition of each student and to establish a personal medical file to monitor their health throughout their years of study. She reaffirmed the statement of Professor Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel-Sadeq, President of the University, that all medical and treatment services are provided free of charge to university students.
The Dean of the Faculty also extended her gratitude to Professor Dr. Sherif El-Mansi, Head of the Central Administration of Medical Affairs at the Student Hospital, as well as to the hospital’s administration, for their outstanding efforts in ensuring the process runs smoothly and in delivering the best possible service to students.
At the end of her visit, Dr. Fatma expressed her appreciation to the Student Union of the Faculty of Nursing and to the members of the “Students for Egypt” initiative for their remarkable efforts in organizing and welcoming the new students, emphasizing that they represent an honorable model of student volunteer work and active participation in serving their colleagues.
